Support may include market research, research into emergent technologies, or evaluation of existing cybersecurity products or capabilities. Support process development and implementation of large-scale enterprise change efforts, such as determining critical software and developing an agency-wide configuration management database. Provide engineering and guidance to facilitate the effective utilization of existing and new cybersecurity capabilities and services, including cloud security services (e.g. automating the utilization of DBProtect to monitor database access) Conduct analysis and provide recommendations pertaining to the Internet of Things (IoT) and Operational Technology (OT). Development, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of automated tool(s) for obtaining accurate and timely software inventories for systems. Private Content Network (PCN) acquisition, deployment, and operational support. Develop and implement methods and guidance to assist the department in maintaining the Optimized FISMA maturity level for the Configuration Management domain. This includes: Development and implementation of methods, procedures, and automation for tracking compliance and measuring performance for select FISMA reporting (e.g. critical software inventory). Guidance to support system stakeholders in the appropriate use of data at rest and data in transit encryption. Development and maintenance of website master inventory. Methods/processes/tools for identifying and tracking all internet-accessible Information Systems. Provide subject matter expertise in security engineering, system security integration, and security consulting support for the evaluation, planning, design, testing, implementation, and modification of security controls. Provide technical expertise and advice on the restructuring and/or re-architecting of major systems (e.g., hosted in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, IBM Smart Cloud for Government (SCG)) to ensure the optimal placement and configuration of cybersecurity tools and appliances to provide the maximum protection of various types of sensitive Government data. Serve in an advisory capacity; focusing on technology modernization, security automation, architecture and design, security solutions integration, and security transformation. Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations to the Program Manager and client. Identify gaps in security tool coverage or capability and recommend solutions to address the gaps or enhance the tool. Provide systems engineering and analysis to support security tool implementations and integrations. Provide implementation services for any new security solutions implemented by the client. Conduct analysis/assessments of plans, designs, technical concepts, implementation approaches, standards compliance, business and technical tradeoffs, and risk analyses Perform requirements decomposition, fea ibility analysis, technical and product evaluations, and identification of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS)/Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) alternatives. Offer technical expertise and advice on the restructuring and/or re-architecting of major systems to ensure the optimal placement and configuration of cybersecurity tools and appliances. Offer thought leadership in Artificial Intelligence and post-quantum cryptography in the Cyber Domain Requirements: 10 years of experience performing functions related to key responsibilities Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering One of the following active Certifications: CISSP, CISA, or CISM Experience serving in an advisory capacity; focusing on technology modernization, security automation, architecture and design, security solutions integration, and security transformation. In-depth understanding of NIST, OMB, DHS, GAO, IRS, Legislative, Regulatory, and industry-standard information sources. Experience supporting complex cybersecurity engagements across various domains, conducting market and technology research, evaluating existing cybersecurity products, and contributing to large-scale enterprise change initiatives, including software selection and configuration management database development. Extensive experience with security control implementation, risk management, and system integration. Proficiency in managing and utilizing a wide range of cybersecurity tools and technologies. Proficient in communicating directly with client organizational leadership to consult with and build partnerships for solving the most challenging cyber problems. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
