World Relief seeks a Housing Stabilization Specialist who will work with an interdisciplinary team to support refugee and other newcomers who are seeking rental assistance. The Housing Stabilization Specialist will work with a wide range of families and households, helping them with the application process, setting budgets and communication the program protocols and expectations.

Role & Responsibilities
    • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
    • Provide updated information and applications to colleagues, eligible applicants, and community partners regarding availability of funds and steps to apply.
    • Assist with completion of applications when needed, with careful attention to the budgeting and longer-term finance planning.
    • Review applications and supporting documentation for accuracy.
    • Upload documents into the appropriate secure database folders.
    • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling client and other stakeholder information.
    • Communicate with landlords to communicate about W-9s.
    • Collaborate with team members on the wrap-around needs of applicants, especially including but not limited to empowering financial management and budgeting tools.
    • Make referrals to other needed in-house services. If referrals to outside resources are needed, refer to another team member for that support.
    • Collaborate with the housing and case management teams regarding the housing needs of applicants and occasionally participate in finding housing and providing housing options to program participants.
    • Attendance at team meetings and training as requested.
    • Other duties as assigned.

$19 - $20 an hour
