One of Aquent's leading financial services clients is hastily looking for add a Corporate Event Planner to their growing ream. This talent will demonstrate an intermediate knowledge level in meeting and event planning and works under limited direction to resolve complex issues and/or address rare, high impact situations. This person will also be responsible for the development, planning, execution, budgeting, risk mitigation and outcomes of a wide range of meetings and events that impact CG's strategy, priorities, associate experience, and culture. Responsibilities:
-Drive the planning process, making recommendations to meet business objectives and measures meeting outcomes.
-Execute meetings and events from concept to execution including schedule, format, venue management, audio/visual technology, attendee management, food and beverage, transportation, accommodations, staffing, and budget management.
-Select, recommend, and negotiate all vendor and venue contracts, while considering costs, risks, and service outcomes.
-Manage and execute multi-channel projects that include audio visual, live experiential events, video production, social and digital customer journeys and the vendors that support these areas.
-Prioritize and manages multiple meetings, timelines, stakeholders, partners, and vendors to meet business needs.
-Manage attendee communication including pre-event communication, invitations, registration and respond to event inquiries.
-Serve as a valuable secondary resource to METS Planners when not taking the lead on the assigned program.
-Establish lessons learned to improve future meetings.
-Demonstrate sound judgement in resolving matters of moderate complexity.
-Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with key external and internal customers, business units, vendors and colleagues.

Industry Best Practice Research:
-Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, social media, and device landscape to inform and inspire the development of new event experiences.
-Stay informed of venues, market rates, and meeting planning execution best practices.
-Identify inefficiencies/issues, recommends solutions, implements improvements.
-Oversee onsite attendees monitoring meeting attendance, attendee health/safety, live travel status and ground transportation.
-Demonstrate Self-awareness

Other Responsibilities:
-Participate in special projects that benefit the operations of the department.
-Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Business and Technical Skills:
-Intermediate project management skills
-Creative and decisive problem solver
-Demonstrate sound judgement in resolving matters of moderate complexity.
-Ability to manage effective professional relationships with key external and internal customers, business units, vendors and colleagues.
-Proficient in CVENT, WebEx, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office and other virtual event platforms
-Intermediate technology background - event websites
-Handle sensitive information and maintain data confidentially.

Working conditions:
-Local Travel required (up to 25%)
-Required to do extensive standing and walking (up to 8 hours a day)
-Flexible schedule can include irregular hours/evenings/early mornings/weekends
-May be required to drive personal vehicle to events
-Ability to transport supplies and materials that weigh up to 50lbs/23kgs

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $35.29 to $39.21 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
