Job Summary:
We are pleased to offer the position of Warehouse Associate, a key role in our team responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of customer orders. As a Warehouse Associate, you will play an essential role in our daily operations, encompassing order picking, packing, shipping, return processing, and maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a warehouse environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse equipment operation. They will demonstrate excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Order Processing:
Accurately pick and pack items for customer orders.
Check the quantity and quality of products to ensure they meet customer requirements.
Verify order details, including shipping addresses and special instructions.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure products are readily available for order fulfillment.
Report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the supervisor.
Packaging and Labeling:
Safely and securely package products for shipment, following company guidelines and industry standards.
Affix shipping labels, documentation, and appropriate tracking information to packages.
Quality Control:
Perform quality checks to ensure the products are in perfect condition and meet customer expectations.
Report any issues with product quality to the relevant department.
Shipping:
Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain shipping records and track shipments to provide customers with accurate delivery updates.
Return Processing:
Receive returned items from customers and inspect them for quality and condition.
Determine the reason for the return and follow company guidelines for processing returns.
Update inventory records and restock returned items that meet quality standards.
Handle customer inquiries regarding the return process and issue refunds or replacements as necessary.
Computer-Proficient:
Use computer systems to track orders, update inventory, print labels, and process returns efficiently.
Proficiency with software and applications used in order processing and inventory management.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow company policies and industry regulations to ensure compliance.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to address any order, inventory, or return issues.
Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with customers or addressing inquiries.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or a related field is a plus.
Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items up to 60 pounds.
Attention to detail and accuracy in order processing, inventory management, and return processing.
Strong computer proficiency for order tracking, label printing, and processing returns.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Forklift Certified: Possess a valid forklift certification to operate a forklift safely and effectively when necessary.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Knowledge of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
