Financial Analyst - Financial Systems

Lee Enterprises is seeking a hands-on analyst to partner with the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and to support the company's financial reporting operations. Primary responsibilities include administration and maintenance of the financial general ledger and payable systems and reporting integrity.

Qualified applicants must be able to perform the following:
  • Maintain integrity of general ledger system to produce accurate financials including preparation of journal entries
  • Perform administration roles required for system maintenance of monthly, quarterly and yearly processes
  • Facilitate month end GL and PL close processes
  • Manage systems development
  • Administrate chart of accounts
  • Create, deliver and maintain training for enterprise use of financial applications
  • Design various processes to improve productivity including system import templates
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly
  • Assist FP&A team with budget preparation
  • Work cross functionally with a variety of departments with various reports, including variance analysis

  • Four-year degree in finance/accounting and 2 years work experience
This position will be located in Lee Enterprises' headquarters office, in Davenport, Iowa.
