SENIOR EDITOR, CUSTOM CONTENT, Technology Review , to play a key role on the MIT Technology Review Insights team, the sponsored content arm of MIT Technology Review. Will edit, manage, and deliver sponsored research projects, working closely with corporate clients on time-sensitive technology reports, articles, and other research; lead panels, conference sessions, and executive meetings when necessary; lead custom projects, working with clients and sales team, to forge editorial strategy; edit and write articles, reports, and other content as a part of custom content projects; create and adhere to content delivery schedules; work closely with freelance writers, designers, and in-house colleagues on content development, from brainstorming and finalizing theses, outlines and drafts to creating visualizations and publications; help manage online content production on technologyreview.com, including publishing content; build surveys internally, working with colleagues on questionnaire development or with external research partners; develop guidelines and processes to ensure consistent quality; and develop processes to streamline content production.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED : Bachelor's degree in a related field; a minimum of five years of experience in content strategy, journalism, publishing, or editing, specifically creating custom content; proven expertise in writing, editing and making complex topics palatable to a broad audience; excellent public speaking, client management, communication and customer service skills; experience leading executive communications, in the technology industry, and delivering time-sensitive projects; superb time management skills and attention to detail; and expert knowledge of content development processes. PREFERRED : Familiarity with Associated Press style; technical experience with various platforms, including content management systems (WordPress) and survey development; and familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, and Adobe Acrobat.
