Convent Station, United States LE018 Zelis Healthcare, LLC Full time

At Zelis, we’re passionate about building software that solves problems. We count on our Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to empower our users with a rich feature set, high availability, and stellar performance level to pursue their missions. We are searching for someone who brings fresh ideas, demonstrates a unique and informed viewpoint, and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop real-world solutions and positive user experiences at every interaction. The SRE DevOps engineer would be responsible for leading and executing SRE initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that systems are reliable, scalable, and available. Essential Duties and Functions Provide observability to stakeholders by gathering and analyzing metrics from both operating systems as well as applications and tools to assist in performance tuning and fault finding. Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health. Build monitoring systems that alert based on symptoms rather than waiting for outages to occur. Partner with application development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures. Educate and provide insight to properly instrument their applications and services to integrate with our APM toolset. Automate repetitive tasks, such as deployment, test, and configuration, using tools and scripts to save time and reduce the change of human error. Create sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts. Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions. Measure, monitor, and report of availability, latency, and overall system health based on SLIs/SLOs/SLAs. Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications. Participating in blameless postmortems to identify resilience and reliability improvements. Triaging, routing, and resolution of issues and incidents identified by both internal and external stakeholders. Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills 3+ years as an engineer in Infrastructure, Operations, DevOps, or Software Development experience. Applicable higher education, or equivalent work experience. Knowledgeable in SRE monitoring and alerting tools such as LogicMonitor, New Relic, Data Dog, Splunk and PagerDuty. Experience with application vulnerability scanning tools such as Veracode and techniques to ensure system security. Assist in securely managing secrets and sensitive data. Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD. Perform tasks such as setting up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting issues in application or deployment processes, and configure, script, and automate the build processes. Experience with SQL and NoSQL Databases. A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks. A collaborative spirit and you enjoy working with a team to build things. A desire to continually improve and you value giving and receiving constant and constructive feedback. Documentation of tribal knowledge to reduce knowledge silos and reliance on institutional memory to support and maintain reliable systems. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
