How you make a difference
As the Claims Litigation Senior Supervisor, you will
be responsible for
overseeing the day-to-day management of the Company's professional and general liability claims. You will
utilize
your
expertise
in healthcare liability claims to coordinate with insurance adjusters, third-party administrators, and defense counsel to manage and resolve claims. Additionally, you will
be responsible for
preparing reports related to litigation status and trend analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the company's professional and general liability claims, including reporting and tracking claims, coordinating with adjusters, and preparing reports related to litigation status and trend analysis.
Oversee day-to-day claims management activities, such as reserve adequacy, analysis of exposures, compliance monitoring, and claims processing, in conjunction with insurance carriers and TPAs.
Work with defense counsel to manage litigation, select panel counsel, prepare responses to litigation discovery, and
maintain
a claims log.
Produce monthly loss runs, loss data, and risk management dashboards as necessary and
provide
advisories on claims exceeding a minimum threshold.
Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims,
verify
and analyze data used in settlements, and attend mediations and trials as
appropriate
.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Relevant bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Experience
3-10 years of claims and/or litigation experience with a focus on handling professional healthcare and/or correctional liability claims. Experience in correctional healthcare a plus, but not required.
Licenses/Certifications
CPCU, ARM, Licensed Claims Adjuster preferred.
Licensed attorney and/or RN preferred, but not required.
