This role is in support of a US Navy Ship based in Sasebo Japan. We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator who has some knowledge of Network and Database administration to work on the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS). The successful candidate will deploy with the ship typically twice a year for three months per deployment, although the schedule will vary due to operational requirements.

You will be responsible for providing the overall on-site ALIS maintenance and support and serves as the primary point of contact for any customer questions or concerns.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Backups, restores, and disaster recovery of the system
Hardware/system monitoring and performance tuning
System/software/user maintenance and Maintaining system documentation
Analyzing and identifying issues with internal databases and applications
Setting up administrator and service accounts
Installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space
Interacting daily with users and acting as a Subject Matter Expert for the ALIS product suite
Maintaining smooth, secure operation of multi-user computer systems through coordination with other administrative disciplines (security, database, network, and offboard mission Support)
Training System Administrators and users on the ALIS system as needed
Review processes/procedures, collect system operational data for analysis

This is an operational support role to an active ship, so the selected candidate will be required to work at deployed CONUS/OCONUS locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week-which may include weekends-as dictated by mission requirements.

Must have a valid US Passport.

A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must have a DoD Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years

The candidate must have a current DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+ or CCNA)

IT experience if any combination in system/network/database administration

Experience with at least one of the following:
PowerShell; Virtual Machines; SQLPlus; RMAN;
Layers 2&3; firewalls; switches/routers

Must be willing and able to deploy with a US Naval vessel as required.

o Prior Experience working with the US Navy
o Experience Troubleshooting Web Applications
o JBOSS (WildFly) Application Server Familiarity
o Account Maintenance with Active
Directory/Oracle/CRM
o Disaster recovery: backups and restores of
physical servers, virtual machines, databases,

o Virtual Machine Management Service (Hyper-V
/ VMware)
o Maintaining/upgrading system hardware and
startup/shutdown of rack components
o Applying updates, anti-virus/anti-spyware
updates, and patch updates
o Use of Splunk Log Aggregation and Dashboard
o Red Hat Enterprise Linux System Administrator
o Installing Oracle Critical Patches, reviewing
tables and DBA views for issues, and locating
user session data
o Managing large Oracle and SQLServer
databases
o Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and
processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and
software
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
