****Basic Job Functions:****

The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

* Maintain, update, and analyze freight rates within our Freight system

* Review and process freight bills, adjustments and accessorial invoices, billing discrepancies, and disputes on a daily basis

* Maintain a proper audit trail for all rate updates, extensions, and additions

* Develop a full understanding of the contract terms and conditions for each carrier

* Communicate with both internal and external customers on a daily basis

* Other duties as needed

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

****Minimum Qualifications:****

* Minimum of an Associates degree in business or 2 years related transportation/logistics work experience

* Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook

****Preferred Qualifications:****

* Experience with managing freight rates or previous experience with railroads and/or barge lines is a plus

* Knowledge of logistics or transportation industry, including working knowledge of shipping/scheduling vocabulary and terms preferred

* Strong commitment to safety in all job aspects

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers

* Ability to learn quickly, adapt to a variety of tasks, and perform work with a high degree of accuracy

* Ability to efficiently manage workloads and recognize priorities

* Strong organizational skills

* Available to work occasional overtime
