Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Manager to join our team at Quality Carriers. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction for our drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with a group of drivers to ensure maximum utility of their hours and maximize their earnings.
- Collaborate with the maintenance facility to ensure all drivers and tractors are in good working condition and compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain a driver calendar to track requested time off and other compliance-related time.
- Ensure accurate hours of service are updated in the Peoplenet system.
- Counsel drivers on safety, compliance, and service issues, documenting all counseling sessions.
- Ensure all drivers complete required training and refreshers as needed.
- Work with dispatchers to prioritize tasks and ensure all priorities are met.
- Develop and implement disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year business degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in the bulk transportation industry.
- Knowledge of DOT requirements and safety procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
