ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Oversee all aspects of production for specific area and/or time frame. Coordinate Schedule with staff to assure productivity. Assure that employees are working safely. Ensure product meets quality standards. Coordinate all training for area and /or departments. Oversee and monitor daily set up of machinery and equipment as well as production line setup for efficient operation. Oversee, schedule, and monitor daily sanitation procedures. Receive and resolve operational problems and assign corrective action plans. Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for production, sanitation and maintenance. Monitor performance of department employees to ensure they follow established standard operating procedures (SOP). Coach and discipline employees as needed. Develop shift supervisor and leads for successor training. Work with and schedule maintenance. Oversee and participate in the plant’s safety process. Constantly work on waste reduction and yield increase. Review time-cards for accuracy & turn in all employee attendance & punctuality report to accounting.

Skills: Above average knowledge of Safety and Labor Laws Mechanical aptitude, use of basic hand tools Computer proficient Weekend work when needed Must be able to generate company documents as well as maintain all existing documents Must be able to rotate shifts if required Quality Control Experience Knowledge of Food manufacturing equipment Must have sanitation and Food Safety experience pertaining to food manufacturing Ability and desire to “roll up sleeves” and do whatever it takes to get things done and lead a team Ability to delegate authority Must have a strong production floor presence and be able to interact effectively with people at all levels

Requirements: Must be computer literate-Microsoft Office Programs. Bachelor's degree preferred. Bilingual in Spanish and English, is a plus. 5 years of experience in food manufacturing. 3 years of experience as Production Manager in food production or equivalent role. Experience in consumer packaged and food-service manufacturing. BRC, SQF, HACCP Certified or equivalent preferred. Proficiency with Continuous Improvement process techniques. Demonstrate leadership, negotiation, planning and organizational skills.
