Responsibilities

  • Define the product strategy and roadmap. Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends in the marketplace and customer needs. Help develop product objectives and marketing strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to help drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements, roadmap development, and product launch.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to help translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by project and technical teams. Write Product Requirements and Market Requirements documents as needed.
  • Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases.
  • Manage products throughout lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  • Responsible for the design and development of training courses and programs (in close partnership with Legal team, and in collaboration with other cross-functional teams.
  • Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish partnerships.
  • Be the recognized expert in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
  • Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients (if B2B).
  • Partner with Marketing team to develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates CalChamber across primary market segments.


Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of strong experience in a dynamic product management role.
  • Proven track record of success in building training courses and programs.
  • Strong data analytics skills.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning and implementation.
  • High effectiveness in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in delivering effective product marketing strategies.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in product design or engineering.
  • Previous experience in software and web development.
  • Proven success as a product developer in a non-managerial role.
