SPATCO . SPATCO is looking for an energetic

Branch Inside Counter Sales Associate

to join our team. This person’s primary role will be supporting outside retail salespersons. The responsibilities will focus on sourcing products and materials that meet specifications provided by the salesperson and securing the best possible pricing, creating quotes, converting quotes to orders, and following up on orders to ensure delivery meets the order schedule. Essential Functions: Professionally communicate with customer and supplier representatives to obtain data and resolve problems. Researches and documents all information that may be required to complete a customer quotation. Obtains pricing for materials and components needed for the quotation. Maintaining and expanding the database of prospects of the organization. Outbound and inbound account management. Handling cancellations or changes in sales order and communicating the changes with the related departments. Coordinating with multiple departments for status on orders from relevant suppliers ensuring the delivery commitment to clients is met. Creating and delivering qualified leads to outside salespersons. Experience, Competencies, and Education Must respond well to fast-paced, changing work assignments. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong teaming skills. Serve as internal sales support for pre-defined territory locations or salesperson(s) to achieve or exceed assigned sales goals. Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions. Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications. Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns. Increase sales and average order size by means of cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering promotional sale items. Work closely with the internal team members and outside sales force to ensure high customer satisfaction, to drive territory coverage, and maintain positive distributor relationships. Obtain accurate information from vendors relating to shipment dates and expected date of delivery. Communicate changes in schedules to all relevant parties. Cover for other Inside sales staff while members are on vacation or unavailable. Fill requests for catalogs, information, or samples. Setup and maintain customer information. Assist with A/R issues when necessary. Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience required. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Detail-oriented and organized. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Backup support person for the DEF distribution and commercial sales representative. Work with our DEF distributors on the phone assisting with requests for product information, price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations according to SPATCO policy. Create quotes for the outside sales team based on information the salesperson provides. Work under time constraints efficiently and have the ability to work well with others.
