Directs day-to-day operations based on the needs of the patient population served, established professional practice model (Duffy Quality-Caring Model), applicable regulatory standards and requirements, and approved clinical practice standards, policies and procedures. Ensures quantity and quality of staff as applicable to department hours of operation. Exhibits mission-focused thinking and participates in the nursing strategic planning process and aligns service goals and objectives with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Ensures areas of responsibility comply with requirements of planning, regulatory, inspecting agencies, and hospital/department policies.
