The Manager – GL & Financial Reporting owns the complete & accurate accounting of assigned brands and accounts, in addition to managing the annual audit, and monthly financial statement creation & reporting function and assisting with technical accounting research and special projects. This role reports to the Controller and will partner extensively with others in corporate accounting, finance, brand leadership, parent company, legal, treasury, humanresources, and IT. Leads and ensures integrity of accounting for assigned brands and GL accounts, and supports projects (systems, new transactions as assigned). Prepares the consolidated US GAAP financial statements. Prepare and manage the drafting and audit completion all brand FDD and HFC consolidated audit filings, in addition to 401(k) Form 5500’s. Ensures data integrity and proper accounting with senior leadership and auditors who support the review and audit of regulatory filings. Ensure accounting system structure and new accounts are in line with GAAP and FP&A reporting and appropriately configured across all systems and processes. Job Functions: Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations and audit schedules for the key corporate accounts and brands assigned in partnership with the GL team Manage all required financial statement and FDD requirements, including the preparation of the consolidated financial statements to U.S. GAAP, footnotes and discussion support schedules, audit, and ensuring the related technical disclosure checklists are reviewed for completeness & accuracy of the FDD and audited filing materials Prepare the monthly consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP reporting requirements Support the technical accounting analysis and help ensure the successful application / adoption of GAAP to transactions, projects and initiatives as assigned (including but not limited to: acquisitions/dispositions/IT implementations/continuous improvement projects/etc) Ensure system accounting infrastructure master data is kept updated accurately and in line with reporting requirements and controls Lead and develop assigned team members. Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of staff development.
