We are in search of a Director of Finance & Accounting to join our team in the high-tech engineering industry. Based in Flower Mound, Texas, this role involves leading the financial and accounting activities of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving financial initiatives for sustainable growth.


Responsibilities:


• Lead the financial close processes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accurate preparation and timely submission of financial statements.

• Implement and enhance the company’s financial controls and procedures in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Coordinate with external service providers to ensure all tax filings are performed in compliance with regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.

• Oversee the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

• Manage and optimize the accounting system through process improvement and implementation of new technologies, software, and processes.

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team to optimize profitability.

• Establish, implement, and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

• Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.

• Develop financial models for sales performance, margin analysis, and profitability by product, region, or customer segment.

• Collaborate with the sales department to drive revenue growth, optimize pricing strategies, and assess the financial impact of sales initiatives.

• Build out a database driven, Power BI based reporting system to provide real-time financial performance, sales, and inventory management.

• Monitor key financial metrics, KPIs, and manufacturing costs, providing analysis and recommendations for improvement.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Oversee the company’s treasury functions, managing cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance and accounting within the Hi Tech Engineering industry
• Proven expertise in Auditing and Budget Processes
• Proficiency in Accounting cycle
• Experience in B2C Marketing and Sales Management
• Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting and Corporate Tax Compliance
• Ability to implement and manage Internal Controls
• Proficiency in using Power BI and NetSuite software
• Experience in Revenue management
• Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, MBA or CPA preferred
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• High ethical standards and professionalism in handling confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills.
