Process EngineerDepartment: ProcessingEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Plymouth IIIReporting To: Technical Services ManagerDescription3 to 4 years of Experience in Interior Plastic Injection Molding environment is required.To define optimal molding processes for products and train technical teams on achieving same results.Key Responsibilities1. Responsible for AQP and PPAP requirements per AIAG Standards.2. Problem solving on QPR format.3. Responsible for all processes and mold related items.4. Mold Management - track location, cost, PM, quotes.5. Train technicians in mold set-up, molding processing.6. Establish mold documentation and maintain documentation.7. Sample new materials and molds.8. Optimization of molding processes.9. Define training requirements of maintenance technicians and train internally as needed.10. Mold repair and reduction of root causes of failure modes.11. Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.12. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.13. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.14. Manage and direct personnel as required.15. Organize and keep all set up information updated including process set up sheets, process validation and process compliance logs.Physical Demands:Standing - occasionally required on concrete floor when repairing equipmentWalking - sometimes required during repairing or doing maintenanceLifting - occasional lifting from floor to waist levelReaching - occasionally extending arms and hands in front of body and below the waist when repairing machinesTurning/twisting - occasionally required time to perform job functionsBending/stooping - occasionally required*The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
