Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production targets while ensuring product quality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to safety standards.
  2. Collaborate with design engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to review product designs for manufacturability and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  3. Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and line balancing to optimize production efficiency and resource utilization.
  4. Design and implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve manufacturing processes, reduce cycle times, and minimize defects.
  5. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production issues, quality defects, and process deviations.
  6. Develop and maintain standard work instructions, process documentation, and training materials to ensure consistent execution of manufacturing processes.
  7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Six Sigma.
  8. Work closely with suppliers to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, and quality improvement.
  9. Collaborate with maintenance and facilities teams to ensure equipment reliability, uptime, and compliance with safety regulations.
  10. Support new product introductions, prototype builds, and production ramp-ups by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting support.
  11. Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive maintenance programs to mitigate equipment failures and production disruptions.
  12. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in automotive manufacturing to drive innovation and maintain competitiveness.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  2. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as stamping, injection molding, assembly, welding, and machining.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing tooling and fixtures.
  4. Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) for process optimization and quality improvement.
  5. Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
  7. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results under pressure.
  8. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  9. Knowledge of automotive quality standards (e.g., ISO/TS 16949) and regulatory requirements (e.g., APQP, PPAP) is desirable.
  10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
