For GS-07 Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service that demonstrates: providing managers and employees with information about the EEO impact of the organization's personnel policies, procedures, and guidelines. Performing legal research into the complex case precedent, statutory and regulatory citations, and guidance offered by the EEOC, to effectively process formal complaints of discrimination. Tracking pertinent deadlines in the formal complaint process to ensure timely processing of complaints. Maintaining complaint files in an organized fashion and in accordance with standard operating procedures. -OR- Superior Academic Achievement: A Bachelor's Degree related to Labor Relations, Employment Laws, Regulations and Policies, etc. from an accredited college or university (or expect to complete within 9 months): 1) a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale; -or- 2) a 3.5 GPA based on a 4.0 scale for required courses completed in a major field of study during the last two years of undergraduate study; -or- 3) class standing of upper third of the graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision of the college; -or- 4) membership in a National Scholastic Honor Society certified by the Association of College Honor Societies, excluding freshman honor societies. -OR- Graduate Education: One full year of graduate level education from an accredited college or university with a major Labor Relations, Employment Laws, Regulations and Policies, etc. -OR- A combination of specialized experience as described in the vacancy announcement and graduate level education that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. For GS-09 Specialized Experience: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service that demonstrates: Assisting higher level specialists in developing, administering, evaluating, and advising on organization equal employment and special emphasis programs. Searching files and records for evidence relevant to a particular case. Analyzing employment statistics and preparing narrative summaries. Writing replies to correspondence and answering factual questions from the general public, organization employees or others concerning program objectives or procedures. Providing information to managers, employees, and applicants regarding rights and responsibilities in the equal employment process. -OR- A master's or equivalent graduate degree, a L.L.B or JD, or have successfully completed two full years (or more) of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree. Education must have been obtained from an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work (i.e. related to the duties of the position). -OR- A combination of specialized experience as described in the vacancy announcement and graduate level education that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
