Structural/Civil Engineer

POSITION OBJECTIVE
As the Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing load-bearing structures or structural elements for our client's construction projects. You will perform analysis of building materials for use in construction, develop blueprints or specifications for use during construction, and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations. You will spend your time working on initial creative designs for clients as well as redesigns based on changing project needs. This person will also interact directly with internal and external stakeholders ensuring project completion. This position will report directly to the President.

POSITION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with project and sales team to effectively execute structural engineering design and delivery of structural implementation documents
- Structural calculations, design analysis and preparation of construction documents for a wide variety of building structures and construction materials
- Perform construction related services including shop drawing review, response to requests for information, and structural site inspections.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors on design and construction of building projects.
- May be responsible for communication with other disciplines, vendors and contractors to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- 5-7+ years of experience as a structural or civil engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License
- Master’s degree in Engineering a plus
- Possesses confidence in the execution and signing off of a variety of project types
- Exhibits exceptional abilities in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Proven experience working on a variety of projects
- Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present projects to City Councils, Planning & Zoning Boards, and Commissions.
