Reports to: Dallas Division Director of Purchasing

Department: Dallas Purchasing

Summary:

Purchasing Coordinator will support and assist the Internal Operations in the management of all day to day start production activities. Assists the department in ensuring that all bids, take-offs, and starts are in order and the Construction Managers and Trade Partners have a positive building experience. While assisting Purchasing Manager in daily activities, Purchasing Coordinator becomes familiar with product specifications, material usage, industry standards, construction practices, building codes and company policies and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Process new home start packages in BRIX
  • Ensure Trade Partners have necessary documentation to complete their duties
  • Review and identify issues within Change Orders.
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with Brix data base entry and maintenance
  • Assist Purchasing Manager with vendor changes and pricing updates on active homes.
  • Assist in rebate identification, reporting, capture of related manufacturer rebates, model credits and local utility incentives
  • Assist in processing variance purchase order requests daily from team
  • Receive and process payroll issues accounts payable weekly as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with BRIX software system preferred
  • Experience with database input and reporting
  • Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel (requires input as well as creation of spreadsheets, to include mathematical formulas, some macros, formatting and creation of reports)

Education/ Experience:

Bachelors degree from four-year college or university; and one year of experience with a new home builder.

Travel:

This job will be located in Dallas, TX
