Balazs Nanoanalysis is a contract analytical laboratory owned by Air Liquide Electronics is world-wide leader in supplying gases, specialty chemicals and services to a wide variety of industries. Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs around the world serving both internal and external clients. We support clients in a wide array of industries including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense industry, solar, energy storage, automotive and many others. Our highly-skilled chemists assist other scientists and engineers from companies in these fields to support a wide array of activities such as quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D and failure analysis.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Shipping and Customer Relations Lead will be a hybrid role working in both the Balazs Fremont Shipping and Receiving Area and Customer Service Areas. This position will be the lead for the shipping and receiving team and support the Customer Service team in various areas.

Job Responsibilities
  • Follow all safety requirements set forth by Air Liquide
  • Leads the Shipping and Receiving Area to help achieve the goals and KPIs set forth by the department
  • Engages with customers, drivers and vendors in a timely fashion and with a positive attitude
  • Respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with laboratory management, technical support, and sales
  • Generates work order numbers for all incoming samples using the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
  • Assists with documentation required by the customer (Questionnaires, Supplier Forms, etc.)
  • Delivers samples and supplies to each department in a timely manner
  • Assist overflow in the customer service department with quote generation and other customer relations activities
  • Ensures shipping/receiving area participates in 6S to maintain a cleaned and organized manner at all times
  • Ensures sample kits, clients samples, and other shipments are completed properly and in a timely manner
  • Maintains customs documents and compliance items related to international shipments
  • Identify and resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies as they arise
  • Assists with unloading trucks when necessary
  • Move materials in and out of the warehouse and work areas as required
  • Receives incoming shipments and logs them into an internal tracking system
  • Works with brokers to ensure sample receipts proceed uninterrupted
  • Updates sample hold shelf tracking sheet daily
  • Track S/R supply inventory and update management, or designated personnel, when items need to be ordered
  • Identify and resolve shipping or receiving discrepancies as they arise

Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Ability to use computer software, including but not limited to Google Workspace apps and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs with the help of coworkers
  • Must be able to climb ladders
  • Previous shipping/receiving experience supporting an analytical laboratory, preferred
  • DOT and IATA certification, preferred
  • Forklift experience and certification, preferred

The hourly rate range for this position in California is $32.00 to $36.00
