Our staff is trained in caring for critically ill trauma, neuro & surgical patients 24 Bed Critical Care Unit Trauma: Blunt force and penetrating injuries: including abdominal, maxillofacial, orthopedic, and thoracic trauma Neuro: Ischemic & Hemorrhagic strokes, Aneurysms, Brain tumors, Seizures, Traumatic brain & spinal cord injuries Surgical: Complex spine and abdominal surgeries, Head and Neck, Specialty OB/GYN Advanced Hemodynamic Monitoring, Massive Transfusion, ICP Monitoring, Brain Tissue Oxygenation, Ventricular Drains, Continuous Dialysis.Roles & ResponsibilitiesProviding nursing care to acutely or critically ill patients with an assigned unit or clinic;Implementing medical care plans;Directing and supervising the patient care provided by nursing personnel assigned to the unit;Maintaining standard unit activities in the absence of the Head Nurse; and Performing other related duties as assigned/required.QUALIFICATIONSBLS and ACLSNational Institutes of Health (NIH)Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.The ability to stand for extended periods.Strong technical skills.Knowledge of medical terminologyPassionate about patient careRequires a minimum of two years of current RN ICU Neuro Trauma experience.
