Job Title: Local Contract - Registered Nurse - ICU Number of positions: 1Years of experience: One to three years Shift: Night shifts- 36 hours Duration: 13 weeksStart Date: 12/19/2023Hourly pay: $47.80OT: 1.5Weekly Pay: $1,720.80JOB DESCRIPTIONDepartment: Critical Care UnitShift Timings: 07:00 - 19:30 Hours Monday to friday 3 days/12 Hours Shift.Per Week:36 Hours.•32 bed ICU,•2:1 ratio •Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS •Preferred: CRRT (next stage) experience, Arctic Sun experience. •Level 1 trauma center,•Stroke Center for Excellence, •ELSO certified center. •General medical, neuro medical, and cardiac medical patients •Teaching facilityRoles & Responsibilities•Assist with patient care including observation and documentation of patient healthcare needs and communication of pertinent information to the registered nurse and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.•Assist with documentation and implementation of physician and nursing orders under the direction of the registered nurse preceptor.•Implement and monitor patient care plans. Communicate, monitor and record changes in patient condition as appropriate.•Actively engage and participate in transition to practice programs in order to develop clinical thinking and enhanced clinical judgment to provide safe, competent, person-centered care.QUALIFICATIONS•BLS and ACLS•National Institutes of Health (NIH)•Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.•The ability to stand for extended periods.•Strong technical skills.•Knowledge of medical terminology•Passionate about patient care•Requires a minimum of two years of current RN ICU experience. •Graduate from a fully accredited RN program•Active unencumbered Indiana RN state license •One year of Cerner FirstNet experience Requirements•COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.Participates in relevant continuing education programs.Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.ABOUT HEALTHCARE STAFFING PLUSHealthcare Staffing Plus is a US based national per diem, local contract, and locum tenens agency.
