SUMMARY:The Director Applications & Development reports to the Vice President Applications & Development and assists with providing technical expertise and guidance to IT development teams for the ongoing development, deployment, and maintenance of applications. The candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and adoption using the latest tools and platforms. The Director of Applications & Development position will work closely with functional leaders, business units, and subject matter experts in developing solutions. This position will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the SDLC, including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, and custom code.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field10+ years of programming and/or leading programming & development teams5+ years of providing technical expertise and guidance to development teams in web or SaaS productsProficiency in HTML5, .NET CORE, React.js, ASP.NET, C#, ASP, PHP, WordPress, JavaScript, Visualforce, Apex, Java, AJAX, SQL/TSQL, XML, JSON, Flex, SOAP-based and Restful web services, Web API, BootstrapA documented history of successfully driving projects to completionA demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirementsPrevious experience leading a SCRUM teamDeep understanding of Software Development LifecycleSecure development practicesStrong understanding of relational databasesExperience working with CI/CD pipelines that include tools such as Jira, Trello and BitbucketExperience with cloud (AWS & Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes & Docker)
