Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will support a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice coding, data entry, and vendor communications.
  • Assist with accounts receivable functions, such as invoicing, cash receipts, and collections.
  • Maintain accurate and current records in the general ledger system.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to aid decision-making and financial planning.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in accounting.
