Were in search of highly experienced veterinary technicians or VAs with strong skills and knowledge in specialty anesthesia for advanced surgeries and procedures.
**Requirements for this position:**
**Proficient in specialty anesthesia.**
**Valid RVT or VTS license or VTNE eligible preferred**
**Must possess strong skills and knowledge of the following:**
+ IVC placement
+ Venipuncture and U/S guided cystos
+ Radiographs (spinal, thorax, abdomen, extremities, etc.)
+ Anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery for stable and critical
+ Anesthesia for advanced imaging (MRIs & CTs)
+ Knowledge of ventilators
+ Patient treatments
+ Calculating and preparing medications for administration (including boluses, CRIs, and blood transfusions)
+ Preparation and assisting for minor and major surgeries
+ Process in-house and outside labs
+ Restrain for exams and diagnostics
**Applicants must also be/have:**
+ Able to work 10 hour shifts 4 days/week.
+ A valid RVT license
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
+ Exceptional communication and multi-tasking skills
+ Outstanding organizational and time management skills
+ Able to provide compassionate client service and patient care
**What VCA ASG offers**
Competitive compensation ranges from $24-$34 per hour.
