We are seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Marina Veterinary Center.
About the Role:The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of RVT experience and be confident in anesthesia monitoring, dental assisting, and pre/post op care. RVT, LVT, or CVT certification is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in exams and patient restraint
- Maintain accurate and clear medical records
- Perform catheter placement and phlebotomy
- Complete laboratory diagnostics as needed
- Perform wound care
- Anesthetize and monitor patients under a Veterinarian's supervision
- Perform dental prophylaxis and dental imaging
- Ensure safety and legal compliance
- Fill prescriptions and administer medications as directed by the Veterinarian
- Handle stressed or ill pets confidently
- Operate and maintain hospital equipment
- Excel in collaborative problem-solving
- Accurately deliver client education on veterinary care
- Support team and train new employees
- Pursue continuing education
We are open Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm and closed Sundays.
