About the role:
The Laboratory Department provides development, verification and validation of analytical test methods and testing of Drug Substances, Drug Products, Excipients, Impurities, Medical Devices, Personal Care Products and Water samples. The Torrance CA office is currently seeking a Customer Servcie Representative.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:About you:
- Be a liaison between ALS and the clients by providing the best customer service which can include addressing any phone or emails requests, sending test updates and reports, assist in returning samples, etc.
- Perform other general clerical assignments to include but not limited to answering telephone calls, scanning and copying documents.
- Enter results into LIMS system.
- Generate laboratory reports through MS Word or Crystal Report and retrieve files/folders.
- Assist with generating or updating any internal documents.
- Order laboratory supplies and follow up on orders when needed.
- Prepare letters and other documents needed by the laboratory, provide customer service to clients and organize return of samples to clients.
- Assist Management team in other clerical duties.
: Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a minimum of high school degree
- Candidate must have at a minimum a year of customer service experience
- Excellent communication skills and be a fast learner with ability to multi-task; organized and planning skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent typing and computer skills especially with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Have time management skills and the ability to prioritize work; conscientious and responsible.
- Independent and self-motivated and also able to work in a team environment. Detail oriented, flexible and multitask oriented.
