esting Coordinator (Wilsonville) Oregon Department of Corrections This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. This position is represented by American Federations of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This position may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS), as defined by statute. Duties The testing coordinator administers and documents a variety of assessments and testing within the intake unit of the Oregon Department of Corrections. The intake unit for the entire state is based out of Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, Oregon. This is the first stop for newly incarcerated adults in custody. The testing done in this time is essential to provide relevant programming, services, treatment, and opportunities to the men and women entering our correctional system. These tasks are vital to our mission and our ability to create a safer Oregon. You will work to track and coordinate these assessments monitoring completeness and timeliness. You swill personally administer a variety of assessments and provide orientation to newly arriving adults in custody. Minimum Qualifications Six months of experience administering, scoring, and maintaining test result records of psychological tests such as aptitude, personality, and intelligence tests; OR nine term (6 semester) hours of counseling or educational psychology measurement courses. Requested Skills in Interpreting and applying relevant laws, rules, and policies Tracking and coordinating assessments to ensure timely and complete administration Administering and monitoring basic math and reading and mental health assessments Gathering information relevant to identifying substance abuse Providing orientations Working with Adults in Custody Only the candidates whose experience most closely matches the qualifications and requested skills of this position will be invited to an interview. Working Conditions Working with incarcerated men and women entering custody on a daily bases to provide and document assessments. Work is conducted onsite and recorded in electronic systems. Working with variety of stakeholders including administrators, counselors, security, adults in custody, and testing providers. Requirements for Employment You must be able to pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following convictions are likely to result in being disqualified for this position: felony convictions, computer theft, identify theft and fraud. CJIS clearance is done at the conditional job offer.
