Overview:

The primary objective of the Systems Administrator on the EPS contract is to deliver a comprehensive array of engineering services aimed at bolstering the integrated and forward-looking sustainment of the AF DCGS. This is a new award.

Summary: Intelligent Waves is looking for a dedicated Systems Administrator to join our team. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of our customers IT systems, including servers, storage, operating systems, and software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Location: This Systems Administrator position will be on-site at Warner Robins AFB, GA.

Security Clearance: The Systems Administrator must hold an active TS/SCI Clearance.

Mission: EPS

Employees are required to follow all company and customer site COVID-19 protocols.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, storage systems, and other IT infrastructure components to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Monitor system performance and resource utilization, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system configurations to meet performance and capacity requirements.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems and applications.
  • Implement security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other security threats.
  • Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability in the event of system failures or disasters.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and patches to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess technology needs, evaluate new solutions, and recommend improvements to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base and facilitate knowledge transfer within the IT team.
  • Participate in customer projects and initiatives, such as system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, contributing technical expertise and support to ensure successful outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CompTIA Server+, etc.) are a plus.
  • IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent) required.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Systems support.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing enterprise-level IT systems.
  • Strong technical skills in server administration, including experience with Windows Server, Linux/Unix, VMware, Hyper-V, and/or other virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with storage systems administration, backup and recovery solutions, and data protection technologies.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with end-users, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
