Summary:
This position will support the Program Manager in the execution of the RPA SOC Program.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for the installation, configuration, testing and hardening of network equipment, servers, workstations, switches, routers and other rack-mounted equipment.
- Responsible for associated ancillary electronic equipment and cabling per engineering specifications and operational procedures on customer property.
- Assembles and installs equipment to include workstations, servers, switches, routers, audio-visual, and ancillary equipment.
- Performs testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment according to published equipment standards, all with little or no support.
- Utilizes troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques to isolate and resolve system and customer issues during initial implementation.
- Test equipment, Kit/palletize equipment, Rack mounts equipment, Grounds equipment, Install/dress fiber/cables, Install/test video, configure desk racks, Fabricate CAT6, Dress desk cables,
Virtual troubleshoot, Serial number log, Update drawings, Cable/equipment labeling, Function testing (workstations/servers), WS/Server Hardening, WS/Server Build, Configure ATM Switch, Configure Switch/Routers, Configure Mission Network, Configure C2 Link, Site Coordination.
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge of job-related tools and applications well as strong detail to data.
- Strong server-side experience to include installing, configuring, and maintaining various server types, both hardware and software
- Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with minimal oversight
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Bachelor's degree in information technology field or equivalent years of related experience.
- Minimum 2-4 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Required experience with ATM, IP transport, and Cisco products.
- Must have and be willing to maintain a CompTIA SEC Certification.
- Hold one or more of the following certifications: VMware (VCP5DCV, DCD, or DCA); Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP); and/or Microsoft Certified System Engineer Server 2008 or higher.
- Must have an Active Top Secret security clearance and be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Travel is required 25% to 50%.
