Your Role
As our Road Logistics Operations Manager, you will manage the activities of our Road Logistics Department. You will be setting our goals and priorities for the department in line with our Branch and over company objectives, leading our team to operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
Oversee staff and operations, including training, carrier management, and performance management
Monitor and manage department’s productivity, profitability, and financialsin accordance with our policies
Ensure compliancewith all relevant procedures, laws, and regulations
Act as primary liaisonwith customers, establishing service standards, and fostering relationships for efficiency and growth
Develop and implement automated processesto enhance department performance and coordinate with Sales for client visits
Manage customer transitionto operations team, ensuring KPI’s are met and service protocols are implemented
Oversee all business processes, from initial inquiry to billing, and provide rates & responses to inquiries
Coordinate with carriers and vendors, investigate shipment exceptions, and perform all other duties as assigned
Your Skills and Experiences
5+ years’ experience in domestic freight forwarding
3+ years' experience as a manager and/or supervisor
Thorough understanding of U.S. transportation market
Designing and leading continuous improvement initiatives is beneficial
