Obsolescence related shortages are affecting deliveries and are, at times, raised with an immediate impact. The Project Specialist - Obsolescence Focal will be accountable and lead the extensive coordination required to ensure timely response and corrective action throughout the entire process.

Health checks will be prioritized (run every 6-12 months per best practices) and managed within budget across Digital Controls. To ensure product line synergies are captured, health checks on same part family will be executed at the same time to ensure LTB, alternates, and other corrective actions are done as a part of read across. New SRIs will be screened for obsolescence risk and prioritized proactively to minimize risk to security of supply.

What You Will Do
  • Creating Obsolescence Health Check plan for Digital controls in coordination with Value Streams to ensure proper prioritization, logical groupings, and execution of the Health Checks
  • Managing Obsolescence budget for digital controls
  • Ensuring coordination and closer of the corrective actions that came out of the Health Checks
  • Coordinate impact evaluation including demand and forecast look ahead inclusive of Aftermarket consumption including cost estimates
  • Coordinate Digital Controls MAM generation and approval
  • Monitor LTB inventory consumptions and PL usage forecast; generate proactive actions to mitigate LTB run out risk
  • Coordinate with Components Engineering for identifying alternates
  • Ensure impact is understood for all Obsolescence related SRIs and response / corrective action implementation is coordinated across Digital Controls products
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
