Fill out an application and tell us why you are the right person for this role WHAT YOU’LL DO… Calculate and process employee salaries Verify timecards and attendance records Handle payroll for both hourly and salaried employees Collaborate with the payroll company: Work closely with the external payroll service provider to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll data. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations Verify accurate tax calculations Monitor tax compliance Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and the payroll company regarding tax-related matters Assist the payroll company with any requested documentation or data needed for tax audits and compliance checks. Maintain accurate payroll records Generate payroll reports and summaries for internal stakeholders, such as management and accounting teams, and for external auditing purposes. Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll. Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in payroll processing. Respond to employee inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues, including discrepancies and questions about deductions. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll records and payments, ensuring employees are paid correctly. Prepare Sales and Use tax returns at the state and federal level. Work with the Accounting team and outside consultants to complete Sales Tax and Payroll Tax and Compliance Audits. Maintain tax rates and set up new tax codes in the system. Prepare reports for the team as needed. All duties and responsibilities are essential functions and requirements and are subject to possible modification to reasonably accommodate individuals with disabilities. ROLE REQUIREMENTS… Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Previous experience in payroll accounting or a related role is highly desirable. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel is essential. Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Knowledge of HR and benefits administration is a plus. Physical Activities:
