Our client, a well-known family-owned business, is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to join their team. The company operates on a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite and 2 remote.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$65k - $75k

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing general ledger accounting and assisting in the preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

  • The Staff Accountant will assist in the preparation of financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system
  • The Staff Accountant will prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files and reconciling accounts
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes if necessary
  • The Staff Accountant will perform bank reconciliations
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • The Staff Accountant protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
  • Solid internship experience
  • Desire to pursue CPA
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and vlookups)
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
