Job Purpose
To ensure that Strategic External Development (SED) and the wider business unit Medicine Development and Supply (MDS) build and evolve processes, systems, governance and a culture that supports the ambition to accelerate supply of medicines to patients utilising an external network of partners through advocacy for harmonisation, simplification and transformational change where needed.
In this role you will…
Maintain and evolve the externalisation frameworks across SED and MDS to ensure compliance, simplification and application of best practice.
Using Agile/Lean methodology, values and principles, to continuously evolve externalisation business practices.
Enable SED and MDS to identify, monitor and respond to performance metrics aligned to quality, operational and safety risks for the external portfolio.
Support the necessary governance and learning forums needed to minimize risks across the externalisation portfolio.
Act as lead or consultant on specialist topics for SED / MDS, such as GMP compliance and training, data integrity, third party oversight, document, data and knowledge management, shipping and cultural growth.
Works independently and uses critical thinking to evaluate the most effective methods for advancing activities that will yield the desired outcomes. Engages in the development and implementation of GSK and/or Business Unit wide strategies.

Basic Qualifications/Experience:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Extensive experience in pharmaceutical/biologics regulatory, or scientific disciplines.
Demonstrates a broad and integrated knowledge of drug development and CMC activities.
Demonstrated capability for business process analysis and optimization to deliver efficiency and / or greater compliance
Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders beyond immediate department
Ability to translate complex concepts into actionable and measurable tasks
Ability to collaborate well with others and develop effective relationships, motivate and influence in a cross-functional environment beyond immediate department
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
Previous experience of working with external partners.
Experience in Agile Management, Certified SCRUM master.
Ability to successfully manage matrix teams.
Change management experience.
Have previous experience working closely with, or in, commercial manufacturing, regulatory or quality function.
Experience delivering technology solutions to drive CMC operational efficiencies and/ or compliance.
