The Assistant Director of Events and Visits provides support and leadership for EWU’s guest experiences, which include campus group visits, on-campus and off-campus events, yield programs, campus tours, supervision of staff and students, and the Visitor Center in the Office of Admissions. The Assistant Director is responsible for maintaining the Visitor Center, events and visits, changes in event recruitment, and event communication within the CRM. This position contributes to the overall recruitment and enrollment efforts of the Office of Admissions through outreach and the campus experience of future students. About Us: Enrollment Services supports Eastern Washington University’s mission by providing exceptional service to students, families, faculty, staff, and community partners while contributing to a university centered on student learning and success. As a member of the Enrollment Services team, you’ll experience professional engagement and coaching as outlined in the Gallup model, and we’ll work to identify and develop your strengths as part of a professional growth plan. Our team is one of the most transparent and mission-critical units on campus, so you’ll be held to a high standard and encouraged to share your opinion and insights about how we can better serve students and colleagues. The salary for this position is $58,618 up to $69,685. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. In addition to salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement. In addition, EWU offers generous vacation and sick leave accruals, 12 paid holidays per year and fringe benefits, such as tuition waiver for employees and eligible family members, discounted EWU sports tickets, full access to our campus workout facilities at a minimum fee and free transportation through STA buses. Required Qualifications Two years or more work experience in event planning, admissions, recruitment, and or student advising; Previous supervisory experience; Ability to participate in evening and weekend events and multi-day recruitment trips, which will require a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record; Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, pay attention to detail, and produce desired results; Strong organizational skills; Ability to communicate in a clear, friendly, and effective manner both orally and in writing; Ability to work independently and as a member of an integrated team; Advanced computer skills to include: Microsoft Office Suite and SCT Banner (or equivalent); Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in event planning; Previous experience in virtual events and visit planning; Bilingual ability (Spanish); Experience and/or knowledge working with Ellucian Banner, Slate, or similar document imaging software, and CRM software.
