Job Description: Job Details: Maintain all GL accounts (AR, AP, etc.) ensuring all transactions are appropriately reflected Bank account and check management Perform account reconciliations Perform period close process within reporting timeline Generate financial reports using Jamex’s ERP system (Acctvantage) Prepare sales tax filing annually Assist in collection of overdue customer payments Assist in resolution of issues with vendor invoices Work closely with Jamex local operations, sales and purchasing teams Perform monthly customer billing processes Qualifications Degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred Accounting or bookkeeping experience required High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks Strong analytical skills and sound understanding of accounting and financial principles Aptitude for developing proficiency in novel systems (AcctVantage ERP, Jamex local databases) Experience with AcctVantage and/or Great Plains is a plus Certification as Certified Bookkeeper or CPA preferred Must be able to work in office located in Ithaca, NY Ability to integrate with a small tight-knit Jamex team locally, while working closely with remote corporate accounting team.
