Job Type: Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction, monitor and respond to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques
  • Provide primary interface with vendor support service groups or provide internal analysis and support to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance
  • May provide LAN server support
  • Perform data communications troubleshooting
  • Open/close tickets and manage workflows in ServiceNow
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of PC/LAN communications hardware/software in a multi-protocol environment and network management software
  • May function as lead position providing guidance and training for less-experienced technicians
Requirements
  • Help Desk - 2+ years' experience, including knowledge and experience in data communications troubleshooting
  • Ticketing System - At least 2 years' experience using ServiceNow to manage and monitor service requests
  • Clearance - Active Top Secret
  • Availability & Location - Excellent attendance record and ability to report on-site in Rosslyn, VA
  • Soft Skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to learn quickly and follow detailed technical instructions, passion for learning and willingness to learn about technology
