About Our Team
Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP) is seeking a Server Development Engineer to join our team. At Lenovo, we pride ourselves on delivering end-to-end solutions tailored to meet even the most unique customer demands.
Our CSP solutions are conceptualized, developed, and deployed worldwide, all within our in-house expertise.
Location: This position is based in Morrisville, NC.
Job Description Summary
What You'll Do
•Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop server hardware components, including server boards, chassis, cooling systems, and power supplies.
•Assist in selecting and evaluating components based on performance, cost, and reliability considerations. Ensure compatibility and adherence to design specifications.
•Participate in prototype development and testing phases to validate design concepts and functionality. Conduct performance benchmarks and stress tests to identify potential improvements.
•Prepare design documentation, technical specifications, test reports, and engineering drawings. Maintain accurate records of design iterations and changes.
•Work closely with cross-functional global teams.
•Implement and adhere to quality assurance processes and standards throughout the design and development lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
•5+ years of hardware engineering experience
•Bachelor's or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
•Experience with server, storage or GPU design/development
•Customer engagement experience
Preferred Qualifications
•x86 Intel server architecture and/or GPU Nvidia Arm based technology
•Data center architecture experience
•Experience with OCP based hardware
•Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
•Experience working with hyperscale customers
