Job Description

The Financial Analyst - Entry Level at Davis H. Elliot will work under the direction of the Regional Director of Finance as a key contributor to the preparation, review, analysis and submission of periodic financial and budget related reporting. Our financial analysts work in a dynamic environment and must have the ability to work quickly, engage with decision makers, and have the versatility to meet the unique demands of the business.

A high-quality candidate will be proficient in all aspects of financial reporting, expense analysis and accruals, budgets and forecasts, profitability, and presenting actionable insights based on analysis.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitor variance analysis of actual results to budget and forecasts.
  • Maintain and develop reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Create written communication that clearly and accurately explains variances to leadership.
  • Partner directly with operational leadership to collaborate on metrics, goals, and profitability evaluations.
  • Dive deeply into financial data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights.
  • Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Perform detailed operational cost performance analysis, including the preparation of reporting packages for management meetings.
  • Other tasks, projects and/or responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications
  • Minimum BS in Finance or Business-related program
  • MS Office products, advanced MS Excel knowledge
  • Experience with SQL, Power Query and Power BI
  • Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
