Avera is currently seeking a highly motivated Patient Services Supervisor for Avera Medical Oncology and Hematology

Position Highlights:

  • As a Patient Services Supervisor, collaborate with the Clinic Manager to manage clerical operations and coordination of patient flow. Manage the resources to meet budgetary clinical goals and objectives.
Job Summary

Supervises the Patient Services department team members (Patient Services Representatives, Schedulers and Medical Records/HIM) and activities. Ensures established goals, objectives, workflows and performance standards are met by communicating the goals, gaining feedback and input from the team, monitoring outcomes and performance and providing timely feedback through coaching to improve performance. Promotes a positive professional culture, team work, positive patient experience and first party communication. Works with Manager to develop and refine current workflows, procedures and monitoring plans. Reports their teams outcomes and needs timely to Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Schedule
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 80hrs/2wks
