Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Delivery & Installation Supervisor to oversee the scheduling, coordination, and execution of all furniture and equipment deliveries and installations.

This role involves ensuring customer satisfaction by managing the delivery process from start to finish, including supervising warehouse operations, training personnel, and assisting with out-of-town deliveries.

The ideal candidate will be organized, customer-focused, and ready to lead a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliveries & Installations: Oversee all deliveries within the city to ensure they are completed accurately, courteously, and on time.
  • Assist delivery drivers with loading/unloading supplies, machines, and furniture, ensuring on-time deliveries.
  • Occasionally deliver furniture and supplies directly to customers.
  • Supervise all furniture installations and coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure seamless delivery to customers.
  • Provide operational service quotes to sales teams and customers, including labor rates and delivery timelines.
  • Answer installation and delivery inquiries from sales teams.

Warehouse Operations:

  • Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to manage manpower for receiving large or off-site shipments.
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to maintain smooth department operations.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and ensure all equipment is in working order.
  • Oversee training for new Shipping/Receiving team members and provide ongoing training for current personnel.

Personnel Management:

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to Shipping/Receiving staff, including assembly, storage, and installation of furniture.
  • Ensure team performance aligns with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with sales teams and ensure effective communication.

Miscellaneous:

  • Monitor and coordinate maintenance for company vehicles and warehouse equipment.
  • Oversee furniture repairs and handle ordering of replacement parts when needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ year of warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills are desirable.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles and handle deliveries using vans or straight trucks.
  • Capable of lifting 100 pounds regularly throughout the day and using appropriate equipment for heavier items.
