A day in the life of the Customer Care Specialist:

The Customer Care Specialist is a full-time role dedicated to ensuring a high-quality experience for all customer inquiries at the first point of contact, while also providing extensive administrative and organizational support to internal customers. Responsibilities include greeting, assisting, and providing information to visitors, supporting daily retail operations, and assisting with customer care. The Customer Care Specialist works collaboratively with other members of the staff team to realize the council's strategic vision, along with its short- and long-term objectives and project initiatives.

Requirements for the Customer Care Specialist:
  • Very Strong oral and written communication skills required.
  • Minimum one year in-person office and customer service experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's or higher, or 2 years of related experience.
  • 1+ year of previous experience in Girl Scouts (volunteer or staff) preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, prioritizing and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills in written, verbal, and virtual delivery.
  • Skilled in all basic office equipment, with the ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage multiple projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality with work-related information.
  • Capable of receiving and implementing feedback effectively.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective interdepartmental relationships.
  • Collaborative, transparent, and inclusive work approach.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Looker, Hybris, Utlracamp software platforms
  • Travel throughout council jurisdiction up to 10% of the time.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation, current Utah driver's license, and automobile insurance.
