Job Summary: The Director of Human Resources is responsible for serving as the link between management and the employees by handling questions and interpreting problems to help find resolutions for work-related issues. Relationships have been and continue to be Relax & Company’s success and require the same level of commitment by the Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources drives and oversees the planning and implementation of human resources policies, labor relations, and communications for Relax & Company. The Director of Human Resources reports to the President of Relax and Company. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources are the Senior HR Coordinator and the HR Coordinator. Primary Duties: Leads the HR Department in all areas in accordance with the Company’s mission and values.

Partner and ensure the organization structure supports the strategic objectives of the business.

Responsible for answering all employee questions via email, phone, Slack, and in person.

Responsible for delivery of company-wide communications strategy that includes formal meetings, informal small group meetings, focus groups, one-on-ones, surveys, and related activities to drive engagement activities throughout the organization.

Responsible for overseeing the entire recruitment process from posting the position to making the hiring decision. Identifies opportunities for recruiting and staying in touch with the recruiting process. Includes participating in job fairs.

Responsible for representing the HR department at Director level meetings.

Serve as a credible and trustworthy advocate representing the needs of all employees and managers to ensure measurable alignment around business results.

Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing, including notifying HR of any payroll-related change (transfer, promotion, or termination).

Coaches and mentors managers.

Responsible for creating and coordinating training efforts company-wide.

Mitigates risk by identifying opportunities with the succession planning program.

Responsible for employer branding in partnership with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and maintain company/employer branding using the company website, communication channels, and intranet.

Leads all employee relationship initiatives including disciplinary action, PIPs, stay interviews, employee growth, development, promotions, transfers, demotions, and exit interviews.

Enforces company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook and procedures that they align with company goals. Oversees the implementation of such policies as they apply to personnel.

Responsible for continued development and administration of the Performance Management Program. This includes 90-day and annual reviews.

Coordinates the onboarding and new hire orientation process. Includes meeting with employees on their first day to orient them to the Company and lining up the day with speakers and presenters. Includes coordinating their uniforms, PPE, and assigning their buddy/mentor.

Maintains current and accurate job descriptions.

Ensures the Company is abiding by all applicable state, local, and federal rules and laws.

Identifies opportunities for improvement of organization personnel policies and practices.

Coordinates terminations or reductions in force to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and that the company

policies/procedures

and practices are followed.

Works to resolve all significant

employment/personnel

issues.

Responsible for mandatory filings: Complete OSHA logs are completed and filed

VOE’s are completed

1095 and 1094 reporting are completed

And other mandatory filings are completed.

Responsible for all Worker's Compensation management including the WC Audit, 1st Report of Injury, light duty restriction management, and mod rate management.

Works along with the Safety & Fleet Manager on safety-related issues. Including part of the team to determine disciplinary actions for incident/accident program.

Responsible for open enrollment including assisting with open enrollment.

Administers the drug testing policy.

Chairs the employee engagement committee.

Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must possess common sense and the ability to make quick and accurate judgments with little or no guidance.

Must be discreet, as this position requires the handling of confidential information.

Ability to effectively present information, participate in, and facilitate group meetings.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must have exceptional interpersonal skills.

Must be able to read and interpret professional journals, and government regulations and write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.

Proficient with Google Suite.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field and 5 years of HR experience. Or equivalent work experience to include a minimum of 10 years.

Licenses & Certificates: SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or HRCI-SPHR or HRCI-PHR certification, preferred.

Physical Requirements: Physical presence throughout active job sites and client homes is required, when necessary.

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
