**Description**
**Summary of Responsibilities**
Develop and promote the sale of West Bends product lines through independent agents in assigned territory. Drive profitable growth to the company. Develop specific annual goals for each agency. Develop and maintain short and long-range plans that support corporate objectives. Oversee agents in an assigned region. Responsible for appointing and training new agents in West Bend's product lines and company philosophies. Negotiate new and renewal business directly with Agent or Underwriter. Conduct agency performance evaluation. Monitor Partners in Excellence programs. Monitor and maintain quality of agency force; prospecting new agents and terminating unprofitable or low volume producing agencies. Introduce new products to agencies and encourage their sale. Assist the accounting department in collection of overdue agency accounts and loans. Communicate company changes to agencies. Inform the company of any significant changes in the Sales Region. Inspect new and renewal agency business on an as needed basis. Ideal candidates will live in or be willing to relocate to the Salina, KS or Wichita, KS area(s).
**Preferred Experience and Skills**
* Four years marketing, communications, public relations, or underwriting experience
* Excellent organizational and project management skills
* Strong team skills
* Strong analytical skills
* Effective utilization of Word, Excel, Power Point, and all West Bend electronic marketing applications, including social media
* Understanding of all West Bend product lines
* Written and verbal communication skills
* Valid driver's license
**Preferred Education and Training**
* Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Insurance or related field, and/or equivalent experience
* Insurance education: CIC, CPCU, AU, or CISR
* Valid agents license
