Responsibilities: Evaluate and underwrite Excess & Surplus (E&S) commercial property insurance risks within assigned authority levels Assess risk characteristics and determine appropriate pricing and coverage terms Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and agents to drive business growth Collaborate with internal stakeholders including claims, risk engineering, and legal teams to ensure comprehensive risk assessment Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify business opportunities Maintain underwriting discipline and adherence to company underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and insureds Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of experience in Excess & Surplus (E&S) commercial property underwriting Strong knowledge of commercial property insurance coverages and underwriting principles Proven ability to analyze complex risk scenarios and make underwriting decisions Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with underwriting software is a plus Additional Information: This position offers competitive compensation and benefits package Opportunities for professional development and advancement within the organization Travel may be required based on business needs My client is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
