Oklahoma City, United States Brigham and Women's Hospital Full time

Job Description - Senior Major Gift Officer (3297261) Senior Major Gift Officer - (3297261) Description Summary Reporting to the Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts, the Senior Major Gifts Officer (SMGO) will play a vital role in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors for the Spaulding Rehabilitation network. To that end, the SMGO will develop strategies and solicitation plans for defined prospects who are able to make outright and/or planned gifts primarily at the six- and seven-figure levels. In addition, the SMGO will oversee the ongoing implementation and management of Spaulding network’s comprehensive grateful patient fundraising program. The goals of this program are to build a pipeline of grateful patient prospects and revenue; engage clinicians, administrators, volunteers, and others in the process of engaging grateful patients and families, and assist in creating a culture of gratitude throughout Spaulding. Finally, the SMGO will help to develop key stewardship and engagement plans for members of our two most important donor recognition groups, The President’s Council and The Francis “Hooks” Burr Society. Key Responsibilities: Carry a defined portfolio of prospects capable of making a major gift ($20,000+) commitment to Spaulding, with a special focus on prospects capable of gifts of six and seven figures. Develop strategies and plans for prospects within an effective “moves management” structure, forming relationships with key prospects and donors to reach our goal of raising significant dollars and resources for Spaulding. Meet defined donor and prospect interaction metrics that will be determined in conjunction with the Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts. Such metrics include, but are not limited to, number of prospect visits and number of gift solicitations. Work closely to develop donor and prospect fundraising strategies in collaboration with the Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts along with Spaulding leadership, members of the Board of Trustees, physicians, and other key stakeholders. Ensure that all donor interactions, forecasts, and strategies are recorded in the Atlas (CRM) database as outlined by the Development Systems Team. Work with Development colleagues and Spaulding leadership to oversee the ongoing implementation and management of the grateful patient fundraising program. Monitor and measure key performance indicators, including, but not limited to, number of educated and engaged clinicians, grateful patient referrals, visits by gift officers, qualified prospects, and the number and value of proposals and closed gifts. In collaboration with the Associate Director of Prospect Development and Stewardship, ensure timely wealth screening of outpatients, identification of wealthy and high-philanthropic-potential prospects, and distribution of regular outpatient reports to develop and maintain a steady pipeline of new grateful patient prospects for the entire Major Gifts Team. Serve as Development staff liaison to one or more outpatient sites for purposes of grateful patient strategy and coordination. Following leads generated through Spaulding’s strategic grateful patient fundraising program, partner with key clinicians to identify and cultivate grateful patients (both outpatient and inpatient, as assigned) who are interested in and capable of making a major and/or planned gift. Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to a variety of audiences to increase awareness of the grateful patient fundraising program. Coordinate the training and educational initiatives of the grateful patient fundraising program across the system. Collaborate with Development Communications Team to develop materials for the grateful patient fundraising program, especially for increasing the visibility of the program. Donor Recognition Society Coordination: With the guidance of the Senior Director of Principal and Major Gifts, oversee the overall strategy of both The President’s Council (annual donors of $20,000 or more) and The Francis “Hooks” Burr Society (planned gift and bequest donors). To that end, the SMGO would collaborate closely with the Events Team (which plans and executes events) and the Communications Team (which develops, designs, and produces print and on-line collateral). Qualifications Education/Degree Required:
